Mystic Chords of Memory is a feature length documentary that explores how narratives and stories about land and places connect people to the past and to each other. The film is set in Wales - land of my maternal grandmother's people - and tells the story of places through the eyes of dozens of local people, with accompaniment by four traditional musical groups and Portland musician Roesing Ape.
Produced in partnership with NW Documentary as part of their Table Games anthology series, Thundaar Lives! is a documentary short that takes us into the world of Dungeons and Dragons through the eyes of a Dungeon Master and carpenter living in the mountains of Northern Oregon. Ultimately the game is a means to unlock the power of the imagination, and forges friendships that endure even death, as the worlds created allow people to live on through their avatars.
